Christy Gauley began her journey into tech integration by noticing that students in her classes loved to show her things they created. As a Music teacher who values creativity, most of these 'shows' were in real time and there just wasn't enough time to connect with each student within the confines of the school day. She began experimenting with tech-infused performance assessments and celebration and took off from there! Christy holds a Bachelor of Music in Opera and B.Ed from UBC, and finished up her Masters in Leadership and Administration with Gonzaga University in 2017. Christy has taught in sd73 for ten years, first as at K-7 Music Specialist at South Sahali Elementary and currently as Arts Education Coordinator. The best thing about her current position is that it brings her closer to other educator and helps her support kids in their learning through the arts across the district!
