Sultan has been an educator for 11 years at the elementary and secondary levels, and in both the mainstream and gifted panels. He is passionate about using digital tools and the potential they have to enfranchise marginalized youth, and elevate voices against oppressive structures in both society and education. He encourages critical thinking and disrupting the status quo through sharing pedagogies and practices with both educators and students. He has a Masters in Education in Digital Education. Furthermore, he is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Innovator & Trainer, and Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. He has conducted many workshops and presentations at conferences and faculties of education, and written curriculum for both provincial, NGO, and educational organizations.
