I am a member of a team that has been working on a project focusing on feedback-based assessment in the secondary classroom this year through an Ontario TLLP (Teacher Learning and Leadership Program) grant. Our project was inspired by a desire to engage students in life-long learning - to create a better learning environment for future students, including my own children. I am an English teacher and have been teaching for 17 years and my team members are in different schools and roles (from business, geography, science and math) and have 50+ years of teaching experience between them.
