Derrick Schellenberg has been teaching in the York Region District School Board for approximately twenty years. Derrick teaches English in a paperless classroom at a BYOD secondary school where Google Apps enhance differentiation, inquiry-based learning, as well as student voice and choice. As head of his school's English department, Derrick is currently exploring laptop use for learning and teaching, the role of social media, and lesson design in a flexible learning classroom.
