In this session I will present tried and tested ways for teachers to help students make their thinking visible. Strategies covered will include: Critical Thinking (problem solving, analysis, evaluating, logical organisation, data presentation, data modelling, answering multiple-choice questions), Creativity (developing new ideas, being entrepreneurial, design thinking) and Transfer (using tools from one subject discipline in another). Strategies covered will provide examples of how to support students as the develop the BC Ministry Core Competencies of Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking, as well as the IB Thinking ATL skill. We will cover as many strategies as possible in the session, and I will also provide access to multiple resources.
