Google Earth is now available through your Chrome Browser. What does that mean? That means we can take the power of Google Earth and use it on a Google Chromebook (and other laptops). Why does that matter? Because connecting kids to the Earth through geo tools is a perfect way to let them see where they are (literally) compared to the rest of the world. It takes a two-dimensional curriculum and extends it to the third-dimension. We will explore not only Google Earth but also create in Tour Builder which allows importing tours into new Google Earth. These powerful creation tools allow our students to combine literacy & writing with an in-place based experience giving them a global voice.
