Travel Information

Phoenix, AZ

Things are different in the desert. The sky is bigger. The stars are brighter. The sunsets stops you in your tracks. America’s sixth largest city still has real cowboys and rugged mountains and the kind of cactus most people see only in cartoons. Phoenix is the gateway to the Grand Canyon, and its history is a testament to the spirit of puebloans, ranchers, miners, and visionaries. (I took this text from the Visit Phoenix webpage) After the conference you have the evenings to explore the greater Phoenix area and there are tons of great restaurants to choose from. Extend your stay and enjoy a day trip to one of many tourist favorites to include Sedona, Flagstaff, Jerome, and Tombstone. If you would rather stay close by you can always visit the Desert Botanical Gardens, Heard Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, Arizona Science Center, or enjoy a day of golf, shopping, or a sporting event. Visit Phoenix, has just the information you need to make your stay in Phoenix and the surrounding area a memorable one.
