After four years in the software development industry, Cori Araza taught in the public school setting for 17 years in Computer Information Systems, Spanish, and ESL at the secondary and community college levels. She led two robust student technology leadership programs, helped to build two Makerspaces on campus and transformed the library into the Technology Media Space equipped with VR app development, 3D Printing, and coding technologies. She currently serves as the Director of STEM Outreach and Program Development for K12, where she conducts workshops in STEM & Project-Based Learning in the areas of Cybersecurity, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science and Bioscience. Additionally, she is pursuing a doctoral degree in the area of Cyberpsychology. Having lived in Mexico and Spain, her global perspective allows for a connection beyond technology while harnessing the power of the Internet to build and nurture relationships. Cori is married with two teens, enjoys mountain biking, traveling and geeking out in a myriad of techie ways when she has free time.
