Anahera has an extensive background in adult education with teaching and coordinating programmes for te reo Māori. She has worked in diverse education settings and marae, engaging with iwi, hapū, whānau and kura. She is particularly interested in Treaty of Waitangi education and culturally responsive practice, and loves to help other's to engage with Māori language and culture. Anahera is currently an accredited facilitator and writer in Te Arareo Māori, the Māori medium team at CORE Education.
