Recently Kea'au Elementary School went on a field trip to a volcano...and they brought the world with them. Over the course of a month schools from around the state of Hawaii and the world participated in a sweeping experience that included Google Hangouts with a volcanologist, a visit from a cultural expert, the researching of a Hawaiian chant and the sharing of Volcano based projects by schools in Hawaii as well as Mexico City. Come learn about the logistics, see videos of the experience , check out the some of the student artifacts and learn how you and your students can host their own global field trip!
