Looking to start a student-run help desk at the MIddle School Level? To enhance student learning and participation in technology initiatives, the Guilderland CSD has developed the FCAST Middle School Help Desk. The FCAST (Farnsworth Cares About Student Technology) program is open to students in grades 7- 8 at Farnsworth Middle School (FMS). They work closely with students, teachers and administrators at the middle school solving technology software and hardware problems. This program provides students with hands-on, interactive, problem-solving and technology skills. Learn from the advisors how FCAST got off the ground and learn first hand from students about their experience on the help desk. Student presenters will also be demonstrating some simple tech repairs!
