Description
This session is an introduction to using Arduino. No previous experience required but a willingness to give it a go essential. Arduino boards contain a microcontroller, programmable to sense and control objects in the real world. Hardware, and related software is open-source and a popular choice for use to create interactive projects. It can be used in a range of contexts to teach digital technologies and enable students to create digital solutions. Participants will be introduced to the hardware and software and will be able to experiment when creating a small project. No soldering will be required. It is anticipated that after this easy introduction participants will have the confidence to explore further both on their own and in the classroom or makerspace environment.
