Monika is a Specialist ICT Teacher at a Special Education School in Christchurch, New Zealand. She is passionate about promoting equal access to digital technology for all learners. Monika supports teachers and students with implementing the new Digital Technologies Curriculum, and with all things GSuite and IT. Originally from Bavaria, Germany, she has studied and worked (mainly in IT) in the US and the UK, before settling in NZ with her family and retraining as a teacher. Monika is a Google Certified Educator, Innovator and Trainer, an Apple Teacher, and a CORE eFellow 2019. She is especially interested in VR and AR, creating videos, coding and robotics, and can often be found wearing a VR headset or playing with Lego Robots, trialling and developing different resources for her students.
