"If I'm going to tell a real story, I'm gonna start with my name." - Kendrick Lamar - For as long as I can remember, having an unusual first name has been the greatest source of anxiety. After four decades with the name 'Cutia', I am now ready to tell a real story of how it came to be AND how it is pronounced. This keynote will explore the implications of consistently mispronouncing a student's name. It will also empower everyone to embrace and even celebrate all names, whether common or unique!
