Participants in this session will learn how WriQⓇ, a writing assessment tool from TexthelpⓇ, can speed up the assessment process, and enhance student writing and student/teacher writing conferences. Session participants will explore WriQ and learn how it supplies teachers with instant information regarding a student’s spelling, punctuation, and grammar directly within Google Docs. Teachers can also use the rubrics in WriQ to evaluate content, purpose, voice, meaning, and organization, providing them with a comprehensive review of the student’s work for final assessment. Additionally, teachers can use WriQ to monitor student writing progress with unique data, colorful charts, and informative graphs. The information collected by WriQ helps teachers efficiently evaluate writing strengths and weaknesses across class sections and grade levels, and allows for more precise differentiation.
