Liz Nations has a Masters in Business Administration and worked as an Accountant for 8 years where she handled multimillion dollar accounts. Her heart was never in Accounting, though, and she later decided to move away from the field. Eventually she found her way into education as a school librarian. While working with students, Liz noticed that there were opportunities to get the students excited about different possibilities in education and decided to start a coding club with her 5th and 6th grade students. With no background in coding herself, she looked for curriculum elsewhere that the students could use and enjoy. With encouragement, and a little reservation on her part, she found her way to Google CS First. The pre-built curriculum was a great way for her to get her students involved in coding. Her students quickly took to the curriculum and were building their own programs in no time.
