Eleven years as an educator, Melanie has been bringing innovation to classrooms across many cities. She is currently a Level 2 Google Certified Resource Teacher at Fern Creek Elementary and is pursuing Google Trainer certification. She guides both teachers and students toward the digital world of innovation. Melanie received a B.A. in English and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction at Howard University (Washington, DC). She was a JCPS Deeper Learning Symposium Google Presenter; leads a monthly district-wide Google PLC and a Literacy PLC; serves as the school MAP assessment lead; and a member of the JCPS HR minority recruitment team. As an educator, Melanie is focused on providing meaningful learning experiences for all students.
