About the Workshops
Keeping Students Engaged during Distance Learning - Keeping students engaged during distance learning is important. Come to this session to learn about how you can create engaging learning experiences - asynchronous and synchronous for distance learning. We'll explore live classroom meetings with Google Meet, ways to deliver content to keep learning engaging (EdPuzzle, Screencasting) and ways that students can show what they know using digital tools (Adobe Spark and Flipgrid). This is a fast paced session that will give you lots of ideas to use with students for distance learning.

Lesson Design for Distance Learning - Intermediate - Creating virtual lessons that actually have your students excited and engaged can be challenging. There are so many tools, techniques and activities that it can be overwhelming to determine where to even start. In this workshop, we will walk you through step-by-step on how to create interactive asynchronous lessons that will actually engage your students. We will also share tips and tools that you can easily use in your lessons to keep track of which students actually respond or if they completed the lesson. This intermediate session will move pretty quickly and allow you to not only be introduce to the tool, but create and learn ways that students can use these tools.

Creative Ways that students can show what they know - Intermediate - Create in a snap! In this session, we’ll dig into some creative ways teachers and students can show what they know. We’ll highlight several creative platforms that are perfect for online learning and get hands-on with a couple of options you can use tomorrow.
