Chari Distler is a Technology Educational Technology Teacher at North Broward Preparatory School. She teaches the Introduction to Computer Programming using Alice Programming to high school and middle school students. She has coached FIRST FLL teams for 10 years. She has over 20 years computer teaching/technology administration experience. She holds a Master of Arts and a BFA from NYIT. She has extensive training in Alice Programming, and has presented multiple times on the topic at FETC, FCIS, Duke University’s Alice Symposiums and Adventures in Alice, a two-week extensive Alice workshop for teachers at Duke University. She shares her passion for technology in the classroom through hands on workshops, one on one training, concurrent sessions as well as small group training. Her paper "Piloting Alice in the Upper School " has been published in the ACM Digital Library. Chari offers professional development opportunities to teachers from all around the world and is a Google Certified Trainer.
