John Shoemaker M.A. is an Educational Technology Strategist in West Palm Beach, Florida. His primary responsibility is to integrate technology into the classrooms across the School District of Palm Beach County. This involves integrating all forms of technology with over 13,000 teachers and 194,000+ students. He mostly works with the integration of iPad and Mac into the curriculum; however, he does support all devices and platforms across the district. John is an Apple Distinguished Educator in the Class of 2011 and aided with two Apple Distinguished Programs in Palm Beach County from 2012-2013 and again in 2013-2015. He holds a Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (K-6) and Varying Exceptionalities (K-12). He also holds the State of Florida Reading Endorsement (K-12). He is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Grand Canyon University and anticipates graduating near the end of 2019 as a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with An Emphasis In K-12 Leadership. On a personal note, he is a self-professed theme park junkie, loves emerging technology, and enjoys going to the beach.
