Ben Exner is a grade 10 student at Frankfurt International School. He has been a builder since the very beginning; first with Lego and now with bigger and more expensive machinery. He developed a passion for 3D printing when his parents wouldn’t buy a pre-assembled 3D printer for him for Christmas in 2016 and he decided to frankenstein one together using resources he found on the internet. Since then he has gone on to be a founding member and driving force behind the student led 3D printing club and a student advocate for the inclusion of Maker thinking in the classrooms of FIS.
