Jamila “Mia” Leonard has been working in Chicago Public Schools at the National Teachers Academy for the past 9 years. Mia currently teaches kindergarten and coaches teachers around tech integration. Mia is a Google Certified Innovator, PBS Digital Innovator, and Seesaw Ambassador and uses her knowledge to innovative methods to transform teaching and learning and empower her young students daily. Some of her favorite tools are self-created differentiated videos, Twitter and creative digital tools to scaffold learning for her students and create new opportunities for self-expression. She also speaks regularly on how to amplify the voices of our littlest learners through technology at conferences and events across the country.
