Indianapolis is just about 20-30 minutes to the north of Franklin.  With fine dining, entertainment, and an assortment of activities this would be great for those that crave the large city life.  If museums are the desire then make sure to visit the Indy 500 museum, the world's largest children's museum, the art museum, or the Eiteljorg Museum. 
 
You may not want to miss visiting Victory field (Recognized as the "Best Minor League Ballpark in America" by Baseball America and Sports Illustrated) or the NCAA Hall of Champions. Let's also not forget about the Colts or Pacers.

Driving Directions

From US 31 
Remain on US 31 until you reach Cumberland Drive. There is a stop light at the intersection of US 31 and Cumberland Drive with a KFC restaurant on the east side of the intersection. Turn west onto Cumberland Drive. The high school is just ahead on the north side of the road. Take the first entrance into the school and proceed north on the drive until you reach the school.
I-65 Southbound 
Exit I-65 at the Whiteland exit (exit 95) and head west to US 31. Go south on US 31 until you reach Cumberland Drive. There is a stop light at the intersection of US 31 and Cumberland Drive with a KFC restaurant on the east side of the intersection. Turn west onto Cumberland Drive. The high school is just ahead on the north side of the road. Take the first entrance into the school and proceed north on the drive until you reach the school.
I-65 Northbound 
Exit I-65 at the Franklin exit (exit 90) and head west to US 31. Go north on US 31 until you reach Cumberland Drive (just north of Wal-Mart and Lowe's). There is a stop light at the intersection of US 31 and Cumberland Drive with a KFC restaurant on the east side of the intersection. Turn west onto Cumberland Drive. The high school is just ahead on the north side of the road. Take the first entrance into the school and proceed north on the drive until you reach the school.
