During his first nine years as an educator Richard served as a technology teacher at the secondary level. During this time he created a student-run technology support program to sustain his district’s 1:1 initiative and assisted many students and fellow staff with broadening their technology knowledge . Currently in his second year as Instructional Technology Coach in K-8 district he also serves as Co-chair of Professional Development for ICE (Illinois Computing Educators) and has led Google Educator Training Cohorts for teachers as well as many other PD areas. Richard is a Google Certified Trainer and is a strong advocate for all things Google, although he is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator (shhh, its for Minecraft purposes only).
