Robert is the director of innovation at Jeppe High School for Boys In Johannesburg where he oversees the ICT needs of his school, however, his main role at the school is to help prepare the school, students and educators for the 21st century through innovation and professional development while balancing the holistic educational philosophy of his school. He describes himself as a loving husband and proud father, as well as a passionate, adaptable, dynamic, and innovative teacher, as well as a life long learner. He is a Google Level 1 and 2 Certified Educator, a Google for Education Certified Trainer, a Commonsense Educator and Ambassador, as well as a Google Educator Group Leader, he is also currently studying his MA in education from the University of Bath in the UK. Robert believes that one can change the world through the power of education and believes that by working collaboratively both locally and with international insight we can make the world of education more effective and relevant for the 21st century. In his spare time, Robert loves exploring the heavens through his telescope as well as travelling the world with his family. He loves all things tech as well as having a love for history, which he also teaches. Robert has a love for the outdoors and believes that it is impotant to give back to the community so he also helps out at a local Scout Troop.
