Irene Basson is passionate about helping schools strengthen teacher resilience and retention and growing innovation through her dynamic resources and services. She is an educational thought-leader with over 20 years of experience teaching in diverse scenarios from pre-school to higher education, and is currently the Director of IT Teaching and Learning at St John's College.
Irene holds a Bachelor degree in Languages and Psychology, an Honours degree in Ancient languages and a Masters degree in Educational Technology from the University of the Witwatersrand. Irene is an ICDL Training Professional, a Certified Apple Professional Learning Specialist and a Certified Google Innovator and Educator. But most of all, she is a passionate and innovative teacher, sharing her resources and research findings with larger communities of practice. Her voice is a positive voice for motivation, hope and change within a profession that has proven to devour even the toughest of characters.
