For the last six years, I have been part of the Educational Technology Department for Mesa Public Schools. In my role, I support teachers and students implementing blended learning at a fully 1:1 High School. Our department provides support for professional development and a variety of other technology tools. Previously, I supported the first 1:1 Blended Learning initiative at Skyline High School and was a teacher at Fremont Junior High School for 5 years before that. At Fremont, the focus was active engagement and what better way to engage students than through technology. I hope to use my experience to help teachers find a passion for technology. Before teaching, I spent 4 years in the United States Air Force as a weather forecaster.
