OneNote Perfect Pair

Part One - The Beginning

This session will walk participants through the 101s of OneNote.  Starting at the beginning, we'll go over how easy it is to get started building a OneNote notebook as well as discuss some practical ideas for uses of OneNote.  We'll talk about the difference between the OneNote App and the Web version.  The presenter will share a ton of resources and videos for you to review as you further explore this dynamic tool.  

 

Part Two - Puttin' it into Practice

This session will provide participants the opportunity to build their own functional OneNote notebook, play around with various features, ask the presenter questions, etc.  The presenter will share some ideas that you may want to consider when starting to build your own OneNote.  Please come to this session with a vision for OneNote notebook.  We'll work on organization and functionality together!

 

Flipgrid Perfect Pair

Part One

First Day with Flipgrid: Come and be introduced to Flipgrid, the video discussion tool that supercharges student voice. Learn how to document conversation data in ways that engage students and inspire creativity.  This session is intended for educators who are brand new to Flipgrid.
 

Part Two
Recording

Lesson Fun with Flipgrid:  You have set up your group(s), you know how to make topics, now you are looking for ways to use it!  Join us for some fun activities to spark student creativity and teach the the in and outs of the tool.  These lessons can be replicated in your classroom tomorrow!

Pear Deck Perfect Pair

Part One
Recording

In this session, we’ll explore how we can use the Pear Deck add-in with Microsoft PowerPoint to create interactive and highly engaging learning experiences for students. You will also see how it can be an extremely valuable tool for ongoing assessment and providing students targeted and specific descriptive feedback. This beginner session will go through the basics so that you understand both the teacher and student side of the tool. When we’re finished, your account will be created and you’ll be prepared to build your own interactive learning activities.
 

Part Two
Recording

In this session, we’ll explore a few additional features in Pear Deck including the template gallery and the teacher dashboard. You’ll have a significant amount of time to build a lesson of your own in PowerPoint that effectively integrates Pear Deck. You will be able to share your working slides with the facilitators for feedback and we’ll be there to answer your questions as you build. By the end of the session, you should have an activity ready to use with your students.
