Description
Just because our kids may be small, it doesn't mean they can't solve big problems. This session will introduce you to the design thinking process and the possibilities for the integration of empathy-based, problem-solving projects and units to thrive in your school. Participants will see that design thinking is the driver that allows students to become active participants in their learning while focusing on others beyond themselves. As empathy builds, students see that they themselves have the power to creatively and realistically solve problems and develop solutions that make a real impact in their classrooms, schools, and the world around them.
