Speaker Bio
I was born to be a teacher and all around wonder woman! At the age of 4, I knew that I was a teacher. Yes, I was THAT kid! I had a real chalkboard in my room and regularly held class for my friends or stuffed animals. I even got old workbooks at the end of the year from my teachers. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Lambuth University. I started teaching in Williamson County Schools in 1997. I’ve taught 2nd grade, 5th grade, adult ESL and adult computer literacy classes. I’ve been an Instructional Technology Coach in WCS since 2008. I am currently working on my Masters in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Memphis. I love helping others on their journey of technology liberation! Now more than ever is an exciting time in education! New technologies provide a fantastic opportunity to break down classroom walls and implement a truly interactive classroom!
