I have been teaching elementary art for 11 years. I earned a BFA with Emphasis in Art Education from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, then went on to get a Masters in Education from Kaplan University where my concentration was in teaching with technology. I have proposed and carried out pilots utilizing technology in the elementary art room. I was proud to help a group of students to be accepted in the first White House Student Film Festival with a theme of how technology could impact education. I have particularly been interested in utilizing technology for collaboration with peers in different buildings, how technology can support differentiation, asynchronous and self-directed learning.
