Shannon Schroeder, ICE 2017 Educator of the Year, is a Google Certified Trainer who teaches eighth grade Language Arts at Homer Jr. High in Homer Glen. She is passionate about teaching with craftsmanship, meaningful technology integration, and candy! Shannon passionately explores technology integration and shares her learning through leading workshops and experimenting with new tools and techniques in class. “Share Fearlessly” is a motto that has guided her professional growth. She is currently working on her second master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University, participated in EdTech Team's Teacher Leader Cohort and presented at Google for Education Summits, District 33C, ICE, Taste of Tech, St. Francis University, and NICE. Shannon holds a B.A. in English Composition and Secondary Education from DePauw University and an M.S. in Secondary Education from Indiana University.
