I am a first grade teacher, currently teaching in the Chicago suburbs. While teaching my first grade learners over the last six years, I have found technology to be a powerful tool to allow my students to show their thinking, review their learning, share ideas with others, and apply learning tools to explore their curiosities. After completing my Masters degree in Reading, I developed several technology routines within my classroom that maximize learning time, focus on essential learning standards, and increase student engagement. I am also a Level 2 Google Certified Educator and Seesaw Ambassador. My students love using our 2:1 iPads to creatively demonstrate learning and independently work towards academic goals.
