Description
As members of a cross-curricular Teaching Learning and Leadership Program this year that is focused on feedback instead of marks, we were met with two (of many) challenges: (1) how to gain a clearer sense of students’ progress over time, and (2) how to create the conditions where students are reflecting on their learning by gathering evidence and engaging with it through self-assessment. In this session, we’ll share our favourite strategies/tips/tools for including students in the documentation of their learning. You’ll get to try these tools out from both a student’s and a teacher’s point of view and see if these might meet the needs of students in your classrooms. We represent Art, Tech, English, Drama and Science subject areas, so you just might find examples to use on Monday!
