Julene Reed is a professional development consultant and educator with over twenty–five years of experience in education. Julene holds a doctorate in education leadership with a focus on global education. She is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator, Google Geo EDU Advisory Board member, Apple Distinguished Educator, Apple Teacher, Microsoft Innovative Educator Master Trainer, education author, and international consultant and presenter.

Julene implemented Learning Studios internationally in conjunction with Digital Promise Global and HP as well as UNHDR, CARE, and InZone. Julene coordinated a mobile technology education initiative in Malawi in collaboration with Lamar University, the University of Malawi, UNICEF, and VSO, and her doctoral research was conducted on an iPad initiative in Malawi. In the past, she has also worked with Suumu Secondary School in Tanzania. Julene also worked with UNESCO, INEE, and UNHDR at UNESCO’s Mobile Learning Week in Paris, France. Julene has traveled globally through her work as an Advisory Council member of Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots and the director of Polar Bear’s International’s Tundra Connections program. She travels to Churchill, Canada annually to observe polar bears in the wild and conduct live educational videoconferences and webcasts with scientists, and she helped develop the Google Street View and Expeditions for Churchill, Canada.
