Description
In this session, teachers will undergo a simulation on what it feels like to acquire a new language. Educators are encouraged to let their guard down and be open to gaining a deeper understanding of what students face when trying to understand the curriculum in their second language. Teachers will be provided with tools and strategies that will help them in best meeting the needs of EL students. We will conclude the session with possible ways to create a learning environment that is safe, fair and equitable for all students.
