Vocabulary instruction doesn’t have to be time consuming. The most effective lessons move beyond just copying definitions from a dictionary and memorizing flashcards. To develop a true understanding, students need repeated exposure to vocabulary words in a variety of contexts throughout the day. This session will explore some of the best, but most simple, practices using the G Suite to boost vocabulary instruction with a variety of short activities that can be used in any classroom. These strategies will allow students to actively engage in using new vocabulary words and get them excited about adding these words to their repertoire.
