Carrie is one of the rare educators who wouldn’t want to be anywhere but in a middle grades classroom…unless she's off taking her students to the local rock climbing gym or on summer trips to foreign countries. She's spent a decade teaching sixth grade, first as a social studies teacher at a charter school designed to meet the needs of the local refugee community, and now teaching across the curriculum at a small independent school in Atlanta, GA. She loves finding ways to use technology to open up the world inside her classroom and bring learning alive for her students. She earned her B.A. in History from Loyola University Maryland. She is a Google Certified Educator, Trainer, and Innovator, and a Pear Deck Certified Coach.
