Description
Participants will learn how they can elicit any book they are reading to help students build the key literacy skills of inference and empathy for a character’s needs by creating solutions through the design thinking process.
Using an Extraordinaires Design Studio kit participants will engage in an activity where they design solutions for fictional characters. Throughout the activities we will discuss the educational value of each part and how it relates to the books they are currently reading.
