I am an accomplished educator, facilitator of professional learning and keynote speaker. The honors I have been humbled to receive include Sacramento County Teacher of the Year (finalist for Calif. State Teacher of the Year), 2012; 2015 ACTFL Nat'l Language Teacher of the Year; and 2017 PBS DigitalMedia Learning Innovator. In addition to G-Suite, I am a sought-after presenter and speaker on the following topics: digital citizenship; formative assessment tools that provide students and educators with feedback on learning and inform instruction; standards-based grading; teaching for academic content literacy, including specific strategies to build discipline-specific vocabulary; and using digital tools to empower and showcase student voice.
