Everybody has a story. How we tell it is up to us. This workshop will focus on tools that will help participants find a way to communicate their story while also giving strategies to empower student voice in all grade levels. By diving into visual and performing art techniques, participants will gain confidence in sharing their own experiences as well as gaining a slew of practical pedagogical strategies for the classroom. These strategies will help develop an environment of empathy in the classroom, activating students and teachers alike to use clarity, understanding, and connectivity in their communities. This workshop is a fun look at what makes us unique and understanding that helps us understand the world as a whole.
