Lindsey Sobehrad is a fifth grade science and social studies teacher who has established herself as a leader in the Lubbock ISD community. She has taken on roles as Campus Academic Leader for Social Studies, Campus Technology Leader, Campus Communicator, and District Content administrator. In addition, she has distinguished herself as the South Plains Google Educator of the Year, Hardwick Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Lubbock ISD Teacher of the Year finalist. She has presented curricula and pedagogical research on technology in the classroom at conferences including Google Summits, the Lubbock ISD Learn Conference, and has been invited to speak at numerous district-wide professional development seminars. Lastly, she has professional certifications as Google, BrainPop, and Apple educator, as well as an ESL instructor.Lindsey seeks to instill a sense of ownership for learning by building personal relationships with her students, while making technology a key factor in student innovation in order to promote confidence and long-term success in their educational careers. She continually adapts new teaching tools in her classroom in an effort to fully engage her students and enrich lessons in an active learning environment.
