Patrick Dempsey is an assistant principal at Ritenour Middle School in the Ritenour School District located in North St. Louis County. Recognizing the value of effective technology in the classroom Patrick earned his masters in educational technology in 2010 and a masters in educational leadership in 2014. In 2013 he became a Google Certified Innovator, 2016 Allen Distinguished Educator and continues to learn about fun and innovative ways to cultivate learning. Patrick has 10 years of middle school science experience that included BYOD, robotics, mobile learning, Flip Teaching, 1:1 laptops, Standards Based Grading, and Makerspace in the classroom that supported project based learning. With experience in hand Patrick has worked to better the profession by facilitating professional development in a variety of districts and conferences across the state. What Patrick enjoys most about his current role is getting to empower teachers with effective strategies and building relationships with some of the students that need it most.
