Kariene Gardiner teaches 5 to 7 year olds within a collaborative open plan learning space. Visible teaching and learning is central to their teams success story, and Blogging is integral to this process. In this session you will begin by looking into the 5 W’s (what where when who why/how) of blogging and how her teams blog is utilized and engages Learners, Parents and other Educators to further enhance and rewind authentic learning experiences. We will also look into how to make more authentic posts, gather and enhance student voice. This includes how the art of commenting starts and builds learning conversations that create reflective and design thinking students. We will then break into two groups: Those who would like support to create a blog for their class/learners Those with existing blogs who will make connections with others in the group and reflect on what they have heard and share from their own experience.
