Jacob will begin the session by sharing what he has done to engage his 11-13 year olds in writing. He has found that using Google Sites with intentional design features can build clarity around styles and give you, as the teacher, the ability to control content and structure. You will learn how to design and build a website using Google Sites that can create engagement for learners across different writing styles. Key to this is creating tasks that are rewindable, and using content which is engaging and meets the needs of your students. This session will be hands on and will focus on how you can design and create a manageable site. Some prior knowledge of creating Google Sites would be helpful.
