Educational videos provide the opportunity to transform the learning experience for students and encourages teachers to use the flipped classroom model. Research by Willmot et al (2012) has shown that there is strong evidence that digital videos can inspire and engage students when incorporated into student-centred learning activities through increased student motivation and an enhanced learning experience. However, how can we ensure that students are actively engage with video content and not just passively absorb video content? In this session, teachers will be shown how to create truly interactive learning experiences for students using videos from a variety of sources. It will also show how teachers can track students engagement and participation with these resources.
