Nathan Bowman is an 8th grade ELA teacher at Hazelwood North Middle School in St. Louis, Missouri. As part of his school's professional development committee, he provides colleagues with advice on integrating technology in their content areas, and in lieu of a schoolwide drama program, he founded the NMS Filmmaking Club in 2013 where students write and star in movies (their YouTube channel has over 100 subscribers!). Nathan holds a BA and MA in English Literature and is currently working on a Doctorate of Teacher Leadership. His graduate research focuses on the relationship between the SAMR model and student engagement and academic performance.
