Rooty Hill HS is a large, co–educational, comprehensive community school in Western Sydney experiencing rapid demographic change. The enrolment for 2018 is 1135 students. The school has a very committed, dynamic teaching, administrative and executive staff with a range of experience. Over the last decade the school has been recognised for its achievements as a school of professional practice, its work in quality teaching and leadership, its exemplary personalised learning programs and its commitment to innovation.
The school has a technology pedagogy built on a Google Classroom domain with lesson plans and resources available both online and face to face. In 2016 and 2017 the school was recognised as one of the 40 Most Innovative Schools in Australia by Educator magazine.

Rooty Hill

Rooty Hill is one of the older suburbs in western Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the main western train line 42 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD, and 17 kilometres west of the Parramatta CBD. It is easily accessible by road and rail. Rooty Hill is located within the City of Blacktown, the heart of the vibrant Greater Western Sydney region.

Air Travel & Transportation

Air Travel
Air travel is convenient and there is an Expressway connection between
Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport and Rooty Hill High School via M5 and M7. A taxi ride takes around 50 minutes in off peak traffic. Train services run every 20 minutes from the city which is also connected to the airport. Sydney Trains
Sydney Trains provides regular service between the airport, Sydney CBD
and Rooty Hill High School. You could plan your train travel by visiting Sydney Trains website 
All parking areas at Carson High School will be open and available. Building entrances will be clearly marked for attendees.

Driving and Parking Information

Rooty Hill High School features great motoring convenience with easy access to Expressway M4 and Sydney Orbital Network.
 
There is parking available for conference participants on site. Off street parking is also available in front of the school but is limited by school zone restrictions. Disabled parking is available in the main car park of the school
and all facilities are wheelchair accessible. Details available on request.
