Digital storytelling is a multimedia approach to sharing a story. It is a powerful instructional tool for both students and teachers and is also one of the easiest ways to effectively integrate technology in the classroom. This session presents an overview of digital storytelling by sharing a number of Google Chrome tools students can use to create and share their digital stories. Focussing on how digital storytelling can be used to support instruction and how it supports the development of multiple literacy skills as students create their own digital stories. But it’s not just for students, teachers can use digital storytelling in any curriculum area to engage students and enhance student learning.
