St Virgil’s College Hobart is a Catholic day school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition.  It educates boys from Year 3 to 10.  The Junior School campus is on a city site adjacent to St Mary’s College and St Mary’s Catholic Cathedral whilst the secondary campus is located 17 kilometres north of the city at Austins Ferry. The senior school campus at Austins Ferry is situated on 71 acres of bushland and offers panoramic views of the city, Mt Wellington (kunanyi) and the Derwent River. Current enrolment at the College is 760 students.

An airport shuttle bus, taxis and Uber service the airport and can arrange for city accommodation drop offs. All major car hire firms have a counter inside the airport terminal.
The College is located 16 kilometres north of the CBD. A bus service is available (X20/X21 route) from the city to Austins Ferry ($4.80 fare). Taxi/Uber cost is approximately $30-$35.
